Privacy Policy
How NYCHA PARTY handles the personal information you share through our forms and email signups.
Effective date: August 26, 2026
NYCHA PARTY respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and how you can opt out at any time.
What we collect
When you sign up or submit a form, we collect only what you give us:
- Email signup: email address, and optionally your name and borough.
- Contact form: name, email, optional phone, topic, and your message.
- Event RSVP: name, email, and number of attendees.
- Volunteer form: name, email, borough, and the skills you select.
We also record the time of submission and basic request information for spam protection.
How we use it
- To send you campaign updates, town-hall invites, and platform news you asked for.
- To respond to your contact, RSVP, or volunteer requests.
- To detect and block spam (honeypot + rate limiting).
- We never sell, rent, or trade your information.
Where it lives
Submissions are stored as flat files on our own hosting — the campaign owns its list. Only authorized campaign staff can access them. We do not use a third-party database or list vendor.
Retention & access
We keep list data for as long as the campaign runs. You may request a copy of your data, corrections, or deletion at any time using the contact form.
Opting out
Every campaign email includes an unsubscribe link (CAN-SPAM). You can also email us directly and we'll remove you from the list.
Security
We use HTTPS, escaped output, CSRF protection, honeypot anti-spam, and rate limiting on all forms. Flat-file storage keeps the surface small: no database to breach, nothing beyond what you submitted.
Children
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above and note the change on this page.
